Twenty years ago, we created the Loon series and changed the way paddlesports viewed recreational kayaks. Today, the Loon series continues to revolutionize the sport as we tweak, twist and transform our old design to devise the world’s most advanced recreational kayak. LON120 LEM1 POL ACSII ASE U8 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Loon 126 After paddling a low end big box kayak for 2 years I decided to upgrade. Comfort and tracking were at the top of my list and the Loon 120 delivers on both. It is fast and tracks very well for a rec. kayak. And the seat is so great I can paddle all day without discomfort. I especially like the adjustability to support my thighs. The removable console is a plus as well. I could not have made a better choice. My Loon 120 will serve me well for years to come. Thanks! Great customer service too!

What is the difference between the Loon 12 and Manatee 12 and Dirigo 12.

Asked by: YoBob
Between the Loon 120 and Dirigo 120, both are great all-around recreational models for everyday use. The biggest difference is that the Loon is a wider model with an upgraded seat and a larger carry capacity so it'll feel more stable compared to the Dirigo 120. The Dirigo will be slightly more efficient with a narrower beam, as both offer excellent tracking abilities. We do not make the Manatee 12 so we would not have any specific info on the performance of this model, or a comparison between brands. Try checking www.paddling.net for other kayak manufacturer reviews. Hope this helps!

Can you use a spray skirt with this model and the removable accessory box?

Asked by: Daithesong
You may be able to use the Loon model with a skirt, but with the Loon dash installed it may allow the skirt to pop-up and off the cockpit combing. For skirts or cockpit covers we suggest looking online at www.sealsskirts.com and they do offer a size 7.0 that will fit the Loon 120. We hope that helps!

Why does this model weigh as much as its bigger brother the loon 126? This model is shorter and narrower.

Asked by: Robert2003
Thank you for bringing this question/detail to our attention. Looks like there is a misprint on the weight of these two models. See corrected weights below. We'll have this updated to the website as soon as possible. Hope this helps! Loon 120 - 54 lbs. Loon 126 - 59 lbs.
