How sturdy is the 126? Looking for a hunting / fishing Kayak. More for hunting. Need to carry gun and blind etc. Maybe bring dog also. Need for river / lake. No rapids. I am also new to using a kayak.

Asked by: Chunkdog
The Loon 126 is a very sturdy kayak that is made of our traditional and durable 3-layer polyethylene hull. Offering a stable platform for fishing/hunting, accompanied with the all-day comfort of the new ACS II Seat System, this model is a great all-around option for everyday use on lakes, ponds, and slow moving rivers and streams. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions!

What is the best way to repair a hole or crack in the hull? The issue hasn't come up yet, but I like to be prepared!

Good Morning Jeff, We here in Old Town offer free to our customers repair material called welding rod. This welding rod is made out of the same material as the hull of the kayaks and can be used to repair scratches, gouges, and minor holes. You would simply need to contact us at 1-800-343-1555 if the times comes that you need to repair your kayak. Thank you for your email and happy paddling.

What does the Loon 126 Angler have that the 126 doesn't? From what I have seen, there are two rod holders and an anchor system, anything else? I ask because I would prefer to buy a red 126 but want the angler features. Could I just add them later?

Asked by: Kentropy
The only differences between the Loon Angler and non-Angler Loons are the color options and angler accessories such as the flush mount rod holders behind the seat and the anchor trolley system. These item can always be purchased aftermarket and installed on a base model if you wanted to. Just give our team a call at (800) 343-1555 and we can order these parts/accessories for you over the phone. Thanks!
