Overview

Short Description:
Like the Saranac 146, the Saranac 160 canoe packs in a ton of features at a great price. The Saranac 160 is longer than its smaller sibling but still features rod holders, storage options and storage trays as well as two contoured seats with comfortable seat backs and a center bench seat (perfect for smaller passengers). The Saranac 160 can be loaded up with gear and performs well on longer trips. A great option for families, anglers or casual canoeists looking for a recreational canoe designed to move through the water with ease.

I am in Scotland UK! I am looking for a replacement lid for the center seat of my Saranac 160XT. Can you advise on how I can go about this and are the seats replaceable with kneel under seats? Great canoe, I love it! Thanks

Asked by: Scottishcanoefan
Thank you for the inquiry. The only style of seating that we have available for the Saranac series are the black plastic molded seats currently installed. Unfortunately we do not ship or sell direct internationally so to get a center seat cover lid we suggest checking with your local distributor and they should be able to assist you. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day. Both the dealers you list in the Peterborough Ontario area are out of business. The name of the dealer in Oshawa "Sail Fenn Air" cannot be found. Can we order a canoe direct? We are in Cobourg, Ontario

We have a twenty year yr old Old Town canoe app 20 ft long, Is there any way that we can take the molded seats out and get replacement seats like the ones that are in the Saranac, with the backs and cup holder, etc?

Asked by: L Guggenmos
Unfortunately the plastic seats in the Saranac models are designed for that boat only and will not fit properly into any other Old Town canoe model. The only other seat option that would work are the 34" generic black nylon bow/stern webbed seats (item #01.1315.2602). You would need to trim them down and then drill holes in the legs to fit your canoe.
