Wondering if you are going to start making any canoes from T-Formex material ?

Asked by: MurphyD
Thank you for the inquiry. We are aware of T-Formex but we have no plans to offer any boats using this material at this time. We are still looking for a viable replacement for Royalex but have yet to find anything we really want to pull the trigger on. Thank you for the support and let us know if you have any other questions.

Can you add a seat with a back to the Discovery 119 model?

Asked by: Huntercady98
While we don't currently offer a seat that comes with a seat back for this model, there are seat backs available that will fit well on the Discovery 119 seat. We offer a Web Seat Back that matches the web seat that comes in this model, as well as a similar seat back in cane. For optimum comfort you may want to take a look at the SitBacker Chair. This gives you padding to sit on as well as a seat back. These options are available under Accessories / Seating & Storage.

Do you feel this model at 12' is going to work for someone who is 6'4" and 260 lbs?

Asked by: KPclick
The Discovery 119 is a great solo model for most paddlers, and offers a hefty 500 lbs. max capacity. Whether the boat suits your needs is subjective depending on your preference for a solo canoe, experience, and what it may be used for. If you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call and speak with one of our representatives at (800) 343-1555 ext. 2.

What is the lightest weight canoe you have?

Asked by: Chenile
The lightest solo canoe that we offer is the Discovery 119 at 49 lbs. And the lightest 2-person canoe that we offer would be the Penobscot 164 at 75 lbs. Hope this helps!
